Book Trailer

10/18/2016

I finally received my first copy of Fire & Ice: The Elementals in the mail this afternoon. My family spent must have spent nearly an hour jumping around with excitement. The entire novel looks even more beautiful in person. I highly encourage each of you to buy a copy of the book either on Amazon or the link that is posted on the book page. It really is a fantastic novel, and I cannot wait to share it with each of you.
This weekend, a few of my friends will be coming over to help me film a book trailer. This will be posted on the website and on YouTube. In addition, I have been considering the possibility of starting some vlogs or other videos, which would also be posted on YouTube. If you have any questions that you would like to be answered in a Q&A video, feel free to post them in the comments below.
In addition, I have begun to plan a small book tour. More information will be provided soon. However, while you are waiting, I suggest that you enter the giveaway that is posted just two blog entries before this one. This will give you a chance to win an autographed copy of my novel, Fire & Ice buttons, and a letter from the author!

Do you ever talk to your characters as if they're real people? (I know I do with mine, because in my head they are real!)
Or do you sometimes act as characters and say dialogue aloud to get a feel for a scene? (I do this!)
Sorry if these questions seem weird, but I've heard of other authors doing this and just wondered!

Hi Emily,
This is a very interesting comment, and I mean that in a good way! The story of Fire & Ice has been with me for over four years, so it certainly feels real. The characters that I have created have such detailed and individual personalities. Therefore, I always try to make sure that each of the conversations in the story are true to the characters that are involved. It is very good to say the words aloud after you write a paragraph or a certain scene. This helps with flow.
